Mercedes-Benz "Blur" (Ambient, BBDO, Canada)

"Looks fast. Even in park. The 450hp 2012 C-Class Coupe."

From AdsoftheWorld:
"To launch the Mercedes-Benz 2012 C-Class Coupe, one was parked in front of a motion blurred wall, sidewalk, and billboard that read: “Looks fast. Even in park. The 450hp 2012 C-Class Coupe.” To complete the motion-blur illusion, real 3D models of a motion blurred fire hydrant, parking sign, and mailbox were created to be part of the street scene."

Comune di Nettuno Print Ad Campaign (Italy)

"Why risk?  Slow down when you drive. In 2010 in Italy, 4.000 people died in road accidents. Almost 50% of these is caused by high speed. Be careful, it’s not worth risking."

Description from AdsoftheWorld:
"Everytime we drive, we run some risks. If we are under the effects of drugs, or simply tired, our journey in the car can become a nightmare. The worst nightmares to get true can be: the police, surgery, or also a funeral. So we chose to represent these three moments of risk, to warn people as they get into their cars."

Mobility Dogs "Wagging Tail" Ambient (New Zealand)

"Challenge: The Mobility Dogs Trust partners highly trained dogs with people who live with long-term disabilities like MS, muscular dystrophy and spinal cord injuries. These dogs help their partners with every day tasks, increasing independence and giving them a new lease on life. WhybinTBWA Auckland was tasked with raising public awareness around Mobility Dogs in an interesting and creative way.

Solution: To show the joy that these Mobility Dogs provide their partners, the agency created special ambient dog tails that fasten to the back of windscreen wipers. Bumper stickers accompanied the tails and drove people to the Mobility Dogs Facebook site."

"Spread the word and get your very own Mobility Dog Wagging Wiper. Mobility Dogs help people living with long-term physical disabilities like MS and Cerebral Palsy, giving them freedom and providing life long companionship. Help them unleash life today!"

For today, enjoy these three musical gems from Delta Faucet!

Saks Fifth Avenue 2011 Holiday 3D Projection 2011 (Ambient)

"The Saks Fifth Avenue Snowflake + the Bubble projection show is bigger and even more spectacular
for 2011. The 3D Projection mapping show runs every night for 5 hours, from Nov 21st till Jan 6th.
Making it the longest outdoor Video mapping experience in the world."

"This year, the activity was quite unique in that shoppers could scan QR codes on the windows of Saks which saw them redirected to a mobile site where they could watch the projection and find out about Saks. Our team worked very closely with the visual display team at Saks who worked on the windows to incorporate characters/elements of the windows into the projection, such as the yetti on the top of the building and the pipes that come out of the windows. The giant clock is a permanent feature – unusual for a video-mapping projection - counting down the time until the next projection. The projection runs from November 21st until January 6th, 5pm to 10pm."

Reason I love this ad: Pure NOSTALGIA.
I grew up watching the Free to Be You and Me VHS tape over and over!

3. John Jameson commercial from 2009

Fallsview Casino Resort - "Coconut" commercial

I'm a little embarrassed to say this, but I laugh every time I see this ad!

Second ad I'm thankful for - Toyota Prius People Person!

The 2nd ad I'm truly thankful for is the recent,
wacky "People Person" ad from Toyota for the Prius!
It's this kind of crazy that inspires me every single day!

"Not long ago, there was one model of Prius for everyone to share. But now that one Prius has become a family: There's one for everyone. There's the original one, the bigger one, the smaller one and the one that plugs in. They're all a little different, just like us. The Prius Family is growing: Which family member is your favorite? Visit to meet the Prius Family from Toyota."

"Here's to Real Friends" Chivas Regal Trailer

The art direction, the music... I can't stop watching this!

"Chivas Regal, the blended Scotch, has launched two short films focusing on 'real friendship' as part of an integrated global campaign. I have dropped in more information below on the ad campaign which I do hope is of interest to you.

Chivas Regal have partnered with Academy Award winning short film-maker Joachim Back to make two cinematic films that focus on the trials, tribulations and idiosyncrasies of modern male friendships. The films will act as the online centerpiece to a campaign that spans TV, print, and social media.

Joachim Black takes the audience through break-ups, breakdowns and good times and brings his trademark comic sensibility to celebrate real friends and the stories that bind them forever.

Film and Chivas lovers alike can raise a glass to Big Bear or Twinkle and discover the full story online at  Trailers can be seen here, and we of course have all files if you need them.

The films form part of Chivas Regal’s ongoing Live with Chivalry campaign which launched in 2008 and encourages men to aspire not just to have more, but to be more."

Précis of the films
"Park Pictures' Joachim Back directs two short films that celebrate male friendship for Chivas. Here, the trailer for the two films, 'Here's to Big Bear' and 'Here's To Twinkle' follows the guys on two very different journeys. One journey looks at the friends' crazy adventures when they get off at the wrong train station and find themselves in the middle of nowhere. The second is much more emotional, as the guys support their friend during a bad break-up. During all of this, Chivas is an integral part of the group as the guys themselves."
